All around the world, Toyota is synonymous with quality. However, manufacturing at a large scale sometimes result in vehicles with a defect in materials or workmanship.
When such defect is discovered, a special service campaign (recall) is announced, with a list of all vehicles that might have the said defect. The repair of the defect would then be carried out free of charge to the customer at the authorized Dealer.
